Procedure for how the CPS-2250 was made
Materials
-CPS-2000 mk1 -CPS-2500 -number 0 phillips screwdriver -slip joint pliers (needed to take the 2500s hose off) -shoe box or simular container (used for storing parts) |

Step 1: To start this project you must first open up both the CPS-2000 and 2500. Start off by taking the nozzle selector off of the 2500. This can be done by unscrewing the single screw in-between the 3 nozzles. Once you have this removed place all the parts in a box. Make sure that you have the rubber seal, 2 springs, 2 caps that go on the springs, the nozzle cover, also the screw and small plastic part that it sits in. Place all these parts in a safe place (a shoe box works well for me). Next unscrew the orange nozzle cover. There should be 5 screws in it. Once it has been removed place the two half and all the screws somewhere safe (shoe box). Now unscrew the 3 screws in the pump. Remove both pump halves and put them and the screws in the shoebox. Now you can start taking apart the main body of the gun. There should be 19 screws in the gun. Make sure that you know which screws go where, b/c not all the screws are the same length. After you have all the screws unscrewed, carefully lift the shell top half of the shell off. It should look something like the picture below.

Step 2: Put the 2500 aside some where safe (not he shoe box this time =D too big for that). Now open the 2000. The procedure is basically the same as it is for the 2500, just the 2000 dose not have a nozzle selector and all the little parts associated with one. When it is opened it should look some thing like the pic below.

Step 3: What you are aiming to do is to put the PC and pump from the 2000 onto the nozzle of the 2500. Start off with changing the pump. On the 2000 this is really easy. You just have to unscrew the little plastic hose clamps on the one end of the hose that connects the pump to the rest of the gun. On the 2500 it is a little more difficult. This is because in the 2500 all the connections have been coated with glue. I used a pare of slip joint pliers to break the pump end free. Be very careful here. It would not be hard to break something here. Try both ends, which ever comes off easier take off. Once you have broken it free of the glue it should be easy to unscrew by hand. Next you need to take off the PC. This is achieved by unscrewing 4 screw that are in a collar that connects the PC and the nozzle. It look like the pic blelow. note: two of the screws are not in veiw because of the hose.
After all the screws are removed, the collar may come off easily, or it may be glued at the end near the nozzle. If it is glued it is usually pretty easy to break free but do be careful. Once the collar is off the PC can be freed form the nozzle. It may take some wiggling and prying to get it to come off, but it should slide off. Do this to both guns. The result should look something like the pic below.

Step 4: Now what you must do is to slide the PC form the 2000 on to the nozzle of the 2500. it will line up on the ridges on the nozzle. To put the two collar clamps back on can be a bit of a trick. The PC of the 2000 is fatter so it will be a little bit tougher to get the two colar halves back tight. My suggestion would be to put them on and hold them as tight as you can with one hand while putting the four screws in half way with the other one. Once you have the two collar pieces held on with screws slowly tighten them giving each one a turn or so then moving on to the next one, until they are all tight. Make sure that they are all nice and tight and that they do not interfere with the trigger lever. Next you will need to attach the pump. All that you must do is to attach the hose to the end that you unscrewed it from. So in my case I un screwed both hoses form the pump end so I attach the hose from my 2500 nozzle with my 2000 PC mounted on it to my 2000 pump. You may need to place the whole assembly in the shell to see exactly how the hose should be turned. Once you do this screw the little hose fitting on to the pump. Be careful. It needs to be tight or else it will leak. But if its too tight it can break the hose fitting. Now you are ready to place the whole assembly in left half of the shell (the half with no screw holes in it). Put the little metal bar that the trigger guide rides on back in. You will also need to reattach the trigger. This can be done by sliding tiger over the pump then maneuvering the end of the rod into the hole in the lever near the front valve. Now put the little screen that came in the 2500 into the pump intake. Then Place the whole thing into the shell being careful to make sure that every thing lines up right. It should look a bit like the pic below. (only add the tank and trigger)

Step 5: Now all that you have left to do is to put the whole gun back together. Start by placing the right side of the shell back on. Carefully place it on top of the rest of the assembly making sure that every thing lines up right. Once you have this done tighten all the screws that hold both pieces of the shell together. Be careful. You want to make the screws tight, but not too tight. If you tighten them too much then it can strip out the holes that they go into. Also make sure that you have the right length screws for the right holes. Some holes take longer screws than others. Next reattach the pump. Place both halves on the pump track making sure that they connect through the pump rod. The pump rod has a hole in it you may need to use a screwdriver in order to orient the hole properly so that the screw holders form the pump fit through it. Once you have the pump lined up simply tighten all the screws. Now reattach the nozzle cover. This is done by screwing the screws into the 5 holes in the nozzle cover. Now you must place the small rubber O-ring back in the groove around the nozzle. Then place the springs in the holes by the nozzle. Then place the caps on the springs. Make sure that they are lined up to fit in the holes. Now slide the nozzle selector on top of the nozzle cover. Make sure that it sits the hole way down. Hold it there with on hand and line up the little plastic part that the screw sits in. One end of it is flat and lines up with the tab that sticks up. Once this is lined up carefully put the screw in the hole. Then tighten it carefully. Don’t make it too tight or it may be tough to change nozzles. If its too loose though the nozzle selector has the possibility of coming off. Now you can add anything else that you want to. I put a strap on the gun just for the heck of it. You are done now. If you want you can put all the remaneing pieces together to get a gun that is essentially a CPS-2000 mk2. Or you can be like me and leave all the parts on the floor =D The end product should look like the pic below.
